macOS
Every resource, joined to its bill.
Manifest reads Cost Explorer to find where the money goes, then scans those accounts and regions for the resources behind the spend and joins the two. Every resource carries its cost, and every cost line points at a resource. It only ever calls list, describe and get.

What it does
Scan an organisation, not a console tab
Enumerate resources across every account and enabled region in one run. Scans stream progress, pause, resume, and survive a restart.
Spend joined to the thing that spends it
A treemap and trend of Cost Explorer spend by account, service and region. Click a cell to filter the resource table down to what is behind it.
Findings that name the waste
Untagged resources, likely idle resources, and spend with no matching inventory, each with a console deep link. Export as CSV, JSON, or a Markdown report to hand to a client.
Diff two scans
See what appeared, disappeared, or changed since last time, so a monthly review takes minutes rather than an afternoon.
Faster where your accounts allow it
Uses Resource Explorer and AWS Config aggregators when an account has them, and falls back cleanly when it does not. Anything found only that way is labelled as such.
Nothing leaves the machine
Results live in a local SQLite database. Credentials sit in the OS keychain and never cross into the renderer. There is no backend and no telemetry.
The checkable detail
The full set of AWS actions it uses is published, and a drift checker keeps that list honest against the code.
Built for the monthly review
Most cost tools start from the bill and stop there. Manifest starts from the bill and keeps going: it finds the actual resources behind each line, so the question is never "what is this $400?" but "which of these twelve volumes do we still need?".
Because every scan is stored, the second month is easier than the first. Diff against last time, look only at what changed, and hand the client a report that names things.
